A gorgeous pair of earrings from the 1950s. Faux pearls and rhinestone adorn the silver tone metal base. Marked Trifari with the Crown on the T. There is no copyright mark which would date these earrings approximately 1955. A patent number also appears on the back. Each earring is approx 1 inch x 1/2 inch.
Alfred Philippe's Influence from 1930 to 1968 as head designer, with his background working for prestigious jewelry houses like Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, brought innovative techniques from fine jewelry to Trifari's costume jewelry, which elevated the brand to its popularity which remains today.
